Ventura Adult and Career Education (VACE) empowers adults to achieve their educational, career, and personal goals through high-quality, accessible learning opportunities. We offer a wide range of programs, including high school diploma and equivalency preparation, English as a Second Language (ESL), career technical education, citizenship preparation, and lifelong learning classes. Serving our community with flexible, student-centered instruction, VACE helps learners build skills, advance their careers, and create brighter futures.
OUR MISSION
Ventura Adult and Career Education (renamed in 2026 from Ventura Adult and Continuing Education) prepares diverse learners with academic, vocational, and technological competencies for the global workforce.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Ventura Adult and Career Education is founded on the belief that knowledge is the key element of life. The more that is known about a subject, the more it can be enjoyed, pursued, accepted, or defended. Recognizing that adult learning patterns and needs must be addressed in sensitive and responsible manners, the training programs have been designed to be comprehensive, supportive, and flexible. ENCORE Computer and Technology Training for Senior Job Seekers
ENCORE is a hands-on, self-paced training program that builds confidence with technology. Students follow written instructions and receive help from an instructor as needed.
ENCORE supports anyone who is 50 years or older and is looking for employment or is interested in gaining valuable computer skills for personal use. Classes are free!

VACE has many Enrichment Classes. A few of the more popular ones include Accounting, Caregiving, Computer-Aided Design, QuickBooks Online, Spanish, Yoga.
