Ventura Adult and Career Education (VACE)
VACE empowers adults to achieve their educational, career, and personal goals through high-quality, accessible learning opportunities. We offer a wide range of programs, including high school diploma and equivalency preparation, English as a Second Language (ESL), career technical education, citizenship preparation, and lifelong learning classes. Serving our community with flexible, student-centered instruction, VACE helps learners build skills, advance their careers, and create brighter futures.
Accreditation
Ventura Adult and Career Education (formally known as Ventura Adult and Continuing Education) has been recognized on both the state and federal levels. The school was again granted a six-year accreditation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges in 2025. The program was identified as a “model program” that meets one of the five National Education Goals for “America 2000.” That goal states that every adult American will be literate and possess the skills necessary to compete in a global economy. The Career Technical Education program (formerly known as Technology Development Center) was selected by the California Department of Education as a Vocational Program of Excellence. Campus Safety
In accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, all institutions receiving Title IV funding are required to collect crime statistics and to compile an Annual Security Report. Learn more about the report and our plans:

Annual Notice of Parents' Rights and Responsibilities
Each year, the district distributes the VUSD Annual Notice of Parents' Rights and Responsibilities, which contains important information about student and parents' rights and responsibilities.
Memberships & Partnerships
VACE is a member agency of the Ventura County Adult Education Consortium (VCAEC), a collaborative of regional educational providers with the goal of expanding and improving opportunities for adult learners.
VACE is a member of The California Adult Schools Consortium. California Adult Schools develop skilled workers, strong families and successful communities by offering opportunities to learn at every stage of life. California Adult Schools make it convenient and affordable for all students to reach their educational, training, career and personal goals. With flexible schedules and convenient locations, the 370 California Adult Schools, which focus on personal as well as professional development, are accessible to more potential students than any other California adult education provider.
Ventura Adult and Career Education is partnered with the Workforce Development Board of Ventura County to provide programs for adults ages 18+ of any income that may help pay for job training and may provide other benefits, too.
