Start Your New Career in Four Simple Steps

Beginning your career training at VACE in a Career Technical Education (CTE) program is easy. Follow these four steps to get started.

Step 1: Attend an Information Session

Your journey begins with an Information Session, where you'll learn about:

  • Career training programs
  • Class schedules
  • Tuition and fees
  • Financial aid opportunities
  • Career pathways and job outlook
  • What to expect as a VACE/CEP student

Step 2: Meet with a Program Counselor

After attending an Information Session, schedule an appointment with a Program Counselor to:

  • Discuss your career and educational goals
  • Review program expectations
  • Tour our training facilities
  • Meet instructors and staff
  • Determine whether the program is the right fit for you
  • Review financial aid opportunities (if applicable)

This one-on-one appointment ensures you have the information and guidance needed before enrolling.

Step 3: Complete Your Registration

When you're ready to register, you will:

  • Complete all required enrollment forms
  • Provide proof of age 18+ and your high school diploma or equivalent
  • Submit any required documentation
  • Make financial arrangements
  • Complete any program-specific requirements
  • Schedule and take the CASAS assessment

Please note: Some programs have additional admission requirements or prerequisites. Your Program Counselor will review these with you during your appointment.

Step 4: Start Your Training

Once your registration is complete, you'll receive:

  • Orientation information
  • Your class schedule
  • Important student resources
  • Everything you need to begin your career training
