    Free Concerts on November 9, 2014; January 25, 2015;
    April 12, 2015; June 7, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Ventura High School Auditorium. Fifty-one years of crowd-pleasing entertainment!
  • VACE Awarded "Health Champion Award"
    VACE was awarded the "Health Champion Award" given by the Ventura County Board of Supervisors.
  • First in State with Computer-based GED!
    In response to the increased demand for computer-based testing resulting from the phasing out of the paper-based GED test, VACE has opened a second Pearson-VUE test center dedicated to GED testing.

    Students may go online (www.gedcomputer.com) to complete the GED registration process, pay for and schedule tests, which are taken in our Pearson-Vue test Center.

The Arc of Ventura County Program

The Arc of Ventura County, in cooperation with Ventura Adult and Continuing Education, provides programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Community Access Skills and Functional Academics

Community Access Skills and Functional Academics

This class is designed to assist adult students with intellectual, emotional, physical, or developmental limitations to increase awareness of their own strengths and abilities. Activities are designed to develop communication, self-care, daily living, reading, writing, and computational skills. Students learn to utilize community resources for greater independence within the community and at home.

Life Skills and Functional Academics

This program provides life skills training for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to promote a more independent lifestyle. Training targets self-care skills, values, grooming, communication, money management, shopping, utilizing community resources, cooking, socialization, community access skills, and basic functional academics.
