    Free Concerts on November 9, 2014; January 25, 2015;

  • VACE Awarded "Health Champion Award"
    VACE was awarded the "Health Champion Award" given by the Ventura County Board of Supervisors.
  • First in State with Computer-based GED!
    In response to the increased demand for computer-based testing resulting from the phasing out of the paper-based GED test, VACE has opened a second Pearson-VUE test center dedicated to GED testing.

    Students may go online (www.gedcomputer.com) to complete the GED registration process, pay for and schedule tests, which are taken in our Pearson-Vue test Center.

Aerobics – Low Impact Aerobics

This class provides a good, solid workout for people who want to improve flexibility and cardiovascular endurance without running or jumping. All classes use hand-held weights and resistance bands.

Clothing Construction – Quiltmaking

Learn about quilting, wearable art, and related crafts. Design and create decorative quilts of all sizes. Machines and cutting tables are available in class. Students provide their own materials.

Spanish – Conversational Spanish

¿Por Qué Hablar Español? This class is designed for individuals interested in maintaining and/or improving their ability to speak and understand contemporary Spanish. Through vocabulary development, grammar, reading exercises and guided practice, students learn the essentials thereby enhancing travel experiences and interacting locally. Some knowledge of Spanish is recommended. ¡Adelante!

Yoga – Healthy Living Through Yoga

Yoga classes are designed to increase flexibility, strength, balance, coordination and awareness. Practice a variety of yoga postures, adapted to accommodate all fitness levels. Learn to manage stress through visualization, breathing and relaxation techniques.
